Ogunbowale Becomes Lady Irish All-Time Scoring Leader

Arike added to her stellar career when she became the Women’s Notre Dame Basketball all-time scoring leader on Friday. She passed Skylar Diggins with 2,358 points and counting. Congrats to Arike on an amazing accomplishment. I’m excited to see how much more points Arike will add to her total before she plays her last game in South Bend.
Basketball Africa League Announced for 2020

During the 6th annual NBA Africa All Star Luncheon in Charlotte, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced the plan to launch the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in 2020. The Basketball Africa League will consist of 12 club teams across the continent of Africa set to begin play in January 2020. The NBA and FIBA will conduct qualifying tournaments later this year to make selections for the 12 teams. The BAL will consist of teams representing the following countries: Angola, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia (no more than two teams from the same country will be able to qualify).

Giannis Puts On A Show During the All Star Game
All of the stars were on the court last night in Charlotte during the 2019 NBA All Star game. No star shined more than MVP front-runner Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite the lost to Team Lebron, Giannis had a game high 38 points with 11 rebounds and 5 assist.
