GIANNIS SIGNATURE SHOES WILL DEBUT DURING PLAYOFFS

There’s been a lot of speculation and rumors about when Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature shoes with Nike were going to debut. Well we finally have an answer about the Nike Freak 1. During Nike’s Quarter 3 2019 Earnings Call, Nike’s CEO Mark Parker revealed that Giannis will be lacing up his signature shoes during the upcoming 2019 NBA Playoffs. That’s all of the news that we have now, but I’m sure we’ll be getting some content soon.

ERICA OGWUMIKE WINS CONFERENCE USA PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Erica Ogwumike won Conference USA Player of the Year as she led the Rice to Conference USA regular season and Conference Tournament titles. Erica averaged 16.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 2.7 APG, and 1.6 SPG in helping Rice to an undefeated conference play during the regular season. Ogwumike becomes Rice’s first Conference USA Women Basketball Player of the Year. Also, if you couldn’t tell Erica is the younger sister of Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike. The Ogwumike’s family is becoming a powerhouse in women basketball.

Kristine Anigwe Makes History with 30-30 Game

Kristine Anigwe, University of California senior center, recorded 32 points (14/22 FG and 4/8 FT) and 30 rebounds in a win vs. Washington State. Anigwe becomes the first player in Division I college Women basketball with a 30 point and 30 rebound game in over fifteen years. She also tied the Pac-12 Conference single game record for rebounds in the process. Another crazy stat from this game is that Anigwe outrebounded the entire Washington State team 30 to 22. For the season Kristine is leading the NCAA leader in rebounds with 15.9 RPG and she ended the regular season with her 30th straight double-double.
