History was made yesterday during the 2023 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Tournament. The Nigeria D’Tigress won their 4th straight AfroBasket title! Nigeria defeated Senegal 84-74 in the championship match.

The Nigeria D’Tigress are clearly the best and most dominant team on the continent. They are currently 24-0 in the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Tournament going back to 2015.

The D’Tigress Head Coach, Rena Wakama, made history as the first female coach to lead their team to the Women’s AfroBasketball title. She was also the only female head coach in this year’s tournament.

Congrats to the entire D’Tigress squad on representing us well in this tournament. Naija No Dey Carry Last!
