Grammy nominated & multi-platinum recording artist Wale joined ESPN The Jump to discuss his new single Angles, Nigerian basketball, the Washington Wizards, and the NBA Playoffs/Finals. As you can see Wale is always repping for Nigeria (we need that Nigeria Basketball shirt on sale somewhere). Check out the full interview here:
Chiney Ogwumike is adding another chapter to her stellar media career. On June 8th, ESPN launched a new podcast starring Chiney Oguwmike called Chiney. Check out the debut episode below featuring Chiney’s sister Nneka.
New episodes of the podcast will release every Tuesday on all major streaming platforms and on ESPN’s YouTube page.
Chiney Ogwumike may not be playing in the WNBA bubble next month, but she is continuing to make big moves off the court. ESPN announced that Chiney will be getting her own ESPN National Radio show called Chiney and Golic Jr. The show will begin next month August 17th from 4PM – 7PM EST. I’m excited to see Chiney shine in this new role and continue to grow as a star in the media industry.
On Tuesday May 1st, ESPN announced that they have signed current WNBA player Chiney Ogwumike as a full time multi-platform ESPN commentator. Chiney becomes one of the youngest regular national sports studio analyst at only 26 years old. She will work on SportsCenter Africa and contribute to ESPN’s NBA, WNBA, & Women’s College Basketball coverage. Finally, Chiney will continue to play in the WNBA this upcoming season for the Connecticut Sun. Congrats again to Chiney and much success in your new role.
