The D’Tigers are coming off winning the Peak Invitational Tournament, a preliminary exhibition tournament leading up to the World Cup, where they had multiple come from behind victories. The team dealt with some internals issues in terms of traveling to China, but they were able to overcome that as well. The D’Tigers have shown the ability to keep pushing forward regardless of the obstacles in their way.
Nigeria is in Group B with Russia, Argentina, and Korea. I like the D’Tigers chances in advancing past the the Group stage and into the elimination rounds. The team has a good mix of youth and veteran players. Also, there is a hunger about this team and they will thrive under pressure. Best of luck to the D’Tigers. Make us proud! Nigeria Got Game!
