Miami Heat’s forward Bam Adebayo recorded his first career triple double last night to help the Heat defeat the Atlanta Hawks in OT 135 – 121. Bam put up 30 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2 steals in over 43 minutes. This was Bam first career 30-point game as well. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Bam is the youngest Heat player to record a triple double at 22 years and 145 days old, breaking Heat’s legend Dwayne Wade record.
Bam is having a great season so far (15.3 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 4.4 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1.2 BPG) and has to be in the running for Most Improved Player and a potential All Star. Adebayo’s improvement is definitely one of the reasons why the Heat has started off the season so strong at 18-6 (11-0 at home). I’m sure this will not be the last triple double that Adebayo puts up this season.
