It feels like almost every week we read news about Chiney Ogwumike pushing the culture forward. From her national ESPN Radio show to being the Executive Producer for an upcoming ESPN Films WNBA documentary, Chiney exemplifies black excellence. It’s been so amazing to watch her growth and constantly elevate levels of success for women but black women in particular. With today being International Women’s Day, it was only fitting that the news broke today regarding her new commercial with Door Dash.

Chiney stars in a new Door Dash commercial where she becomes the first WNBA player in over a decade to star in a non-basketball solo national commercial. The goal of the video is to celebrate women making history and Chiney definitely embodies that.

I say this all of time we announce news that Chiney makes, but her career is just getting started. She is a great role model for young black girls and has the star power to keep growing in her off the court goals. Can’t wait to see what history she makes next. Keep using your voice and platform to inspire the next generation.

Finally, in case you missed it, Chiney announced last month that she will be returning to play for the Los Angeles Sparks this upcoming season to join her sister Nneka.
