Hakeem Olajuwon
Olajuwon Records Quadruple Double 30 Years Ago
30 years ago today (3/29/90), Houston Rockets Center Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon recorded the third quadruple double in NBA history. Olajuwon’s stat line in that game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks was 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assist, and 11 blocks. Believe it or not, Olajuwon actually recorded a quadruple double earlier that season, but the NBA rescinded one assist from him. To date, there has only been four official recorded quadruple doubles in NBA history (last one occurring in 1994).
Motivational Monday

“When you get to that level, it’s not a matter of talent anymore because all the players are so talented – it’s about preparation, about playing smart and making good decisions.” – Hakeem Olajuwon
Throwback Thursday: Olajuwon Dominates in NBA FINALS
With the 2018 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers started tonight, I wanted to take a trip back to memory lane. In 1994 & 1995, Hakeem Olajuwon led the Houston Rockets to back to back NBA Championships. The one thing NBA fans never got to see was Olajuwon’s Rockets take on Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. Regardless, Olajuwon put on a show during these Finals. Check it out here:
