The NBA reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo just announced that his second signature shoe is officially on the way. The Nike Zoom Freak 2 will be available on August 7th for $130 USD. There’s been a lot of speculation and rumors about when Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature shoes with Nike were going to debut. Well we finally have an answer about the Nike Freak 1. During Nike’s Quarter 3 2019 Earnings Call, Nike’s CEO Mark Parker revealed that Giannis will be lacing up his signature shoes during the upcoming 2019 NBA Playoffs. That’s all of the news that we have now, but I’m sure we’ll be getting some content soon.

On Tuesday 6/26/18, the dream unfortunately ended for the Super Eagles. All Nigeria needed was a win or tie to advance to the knockout stage. However, a goal in 86th minute by Argentina clinched their spot to the next round. Despite the lost, the future is definitely bright for this Super Eagles squad. One of the youngest teams to compete in this year World Cup will have a lot experience moving forward in future international competitions.
Yesterday, I came across this great documentary that Nike Football entitled “This Is Naija: A Nigerian Football Story”. The short film discusses the Nigeria Super Eagles impact on the country and the overall impact of football on country. Andrew Dosunmu, a Nigeria filmmaker and photographer, who also created “The African Game” documentary, directed this film. I really enjoyed how the film depicts how the team and sports of football impacts the all aspects of society in Nigeria. Here’s the link to the film:
After resigning with the sportswear giant Nike in November 2017, there was a lot of speculation on whether Giannis Antetokounmpo would get a signature shoe. Nike already has signature lines with top NBA players: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Paul George. The versatility of Giannis’ game and the international presence he already has makes him the ideal guy to have a signature shoe. Well we may finally have an update to all of the speculation:
The Greek Freaks 1s!! We’ll keep you updated when we hear more information on a release date and when we get a preview of what early samples of the shoe looks like.

Earlier this year, Nike revealed the new Nigeria kits for the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia. At first I was not fan of these jerseys (since I was huge fan of the solid green uniforms Nike did previously). Two months later and I currently waiting to purchase my jersey.
