In a crucial game two of the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat pulled off a comeback to tie the series 1-1 with a 111-108 victory last night in Denver. Gabe Vincent led the Heat with 23 points including 4 three-pointers. While Bam Adebayo had another strong performance in these Finals with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. In order for the Heat to win this series, they will need big performances from both Bam and Vincent. Let’s see if the Heat can carry this momentum into Game 3 in Miami.

In their first exhibition match in preparation for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo in a few weeks, the Nigerian Men’s National team defeated Team USA 90-87. The victory surprised many throughout the sports world, but if you have been following this squad this outcome should be expected.

Ime Udoka, former NBA star and Nigeria Men National Basketball team player, becomes the 18th Head Coach in Boston Celtics history. After a seven year NBA career, Ime began serving as an assistant coach for nine years including seven years with the San Antonio Spurs under the legendary coach Gregg Popovich. Check out the official press release here.
It will be great to see what Ime does with two NBA stars Jayson Tatum & Jalen Brown. The future is bright for both Udoka and the Boston Celtics. The Celtics team color scheme are perfect for Udoka as well.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the biggest star amongst stars last night during the 2021 NBA All-Star Game in Atlanta. Team Lebron defeated Team Durant 170 – 150 led by the reigning back to back MVP. Giannis becomes the second recipient of the honorary Kobe Bryant NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the 2019-2020 NBA Most Valuable Player for the second straight regular season. Giannis led the Milwaukee Bucks to the best record in the league with a record of 56-17. He continues to put up great numbers on a yearly basis with averages 29.5 PPG (5th in the league), 13.6 RPG (2nd in the league), 5.6 APG, and a league leading 31.94 PER.
As I mentioned previously, Giannis joins Michael Jordan (1987-1988) and fellow Nigerian Hakeem Olajuwon (1993-1994) as the only players to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. Giannis received 85 out of 101 first place votes from a total of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters.
